Emmerdale's Daisy Campbell is bidding farewell to the Dales after a whopping 13 years on the show, as TV bosses shockingly decide to write out her character.The actress was just eight when she first appeared as Amelia Spencer, and now at 21, she's revealed that she's been struggling since the moment producers broke the news in a secretive meeting.
Speaking candidly with the Mirror, Daisy confessed: "It wasn't my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known.
I've spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting." Her character Amelia is currently in a relationship with villain Tom King, oblivious to his cruel actions towards Belle Dingle, and is also caring for two year old Esther following her surprise pregnancy with Samson Dingle last year.
However, after Amelia's parents left the show, the bosses told Daisy they had run out of storylines for her. "Once they explained, I totally got it," Daisy shared. "Amelia isn't part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn't have any family.There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that.
