Emmerdale actor Liam Fox is leaving the ITV soap, and he has teased a "sad ending" for his character Dan Spencer. Liam joined Emmerdale in 2011 and has been a huge presence in the village ever since.
However, Dan is now facing a lengthy time inside for manslaughter following the death of Lloyd Sawyer. Viewers of the Yorkshire-based show will recall Dan punched Lloyd, who was stalking his young daughter Amelia Spencer.That one punch left Lloyd in a coma for several weeks, and eventually, he tragically passed away.
As Dan's sentencing edges closer, Liam has opened up about his exit and how sad Dan's last few days in the village are. Speaking to OK!
and other members of the press, Liam revealed: "When I read the scripts, it was like: 'Wow, this is awesome.' "He's kind of taking it all in and realising that he's going and getting support from other people in the village.There's some lovely stuff. "Before he goes, he goes into the Woolpack and Man Club are there and really supporting him. "It's really well written, really nice stuff.
