Emmerdale legend Matthew Wolfenden, who has played David Metcalfe for 17 years, has reportedly quit his role on the ITV soap.
The actor joined the Dales in 2006 and is now said to be leaving soapland behind. But according to sources, an exit is being worked on currently and it could see David die in a major twist. A TV source told The Sun : “Matthew has had an amazing time on the soap, but feels ready for a change.
