Emmerdale viewers were left reaching for the tissues after Holly Barton made a heart-wrenching return from beyond the grave.The beloved character, portrayed by Sophie Powles, tragically passed away in 2016 due to a heroin overdose.

In a recent episode, she made an unexpected comeback on the ITV soap, appearing in a poignant dream sequence to her mother Moira (played by Natalie J Robb) during her surgery to remove a non-cancerous brain tumour that had been altering her behaviour.

As Moira succumbed to the effects of anaesthesia, her late daughter came to her in a vision.The emotional scene had fans expressing their feelings all over social media, with many admitting they were "sobbing" at the touching mother-daughter reunion.

One fan shared online, "Seeing Holly back made me sob," while another added, "Moira and Holly have me in literal tears."
