Emmerdale's Cain Dingle, played by Jeff Hordley, was seen in a state of panic on Monday (December 9), making hasty decisions to leave the village after an unexpected visit from someone he'd rather not see.

Devotees of the ITV drama are aware that Cain succumbed to temptation and had a one-night stand with his sister-in-law Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) while his wife Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) was undergoing surgery for a brain tumour.

Since their indiscretion, Cain has been dodging Ruby to keep their tryst under wraps and has succeeded so far. But the plot thickened when Caleb Miligan (William Ash) decided to visit Moira at home after the surgery, insisting that his wife Ruby accompany him.
