Emmerdale viewers were excited in tonight's episode, 18 October, as resident bad boy Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) finally got involved in Lydia Dingle's rape storyline at the hands of evil Craig Reed.
Sam Dingle (James Hooton) continued to struggle with how best to proceed in the aftermath of discovering what had happened to his beloved wife Lydia, becoming upset during a routine visit to Home Farm.
Realising that Sam needed the help of his family, Will called on Cain and told him to come and speak to his brother. While Sam was surprised to see Cain "who had so much going on" turning up just to talk, Cain was concerned why his brother hadn't told him how much he was "struggling".
Before fans knew it, Cain reminded Sam that there were things "he could do" to "sort" Lydia's rapist, as Sam said he was consumed with anger and didn't know what to do for the best. "There are ways we can deal with this," Cain began carefully, as Sam wasn't sure what he meant at first. "Well, there's the law law and then there's the Dingle law.
