Last week, they felt their suspicions had been proved right when Tom left Belle hurt. As all the focus was on the Dingles as Lydia questioned them over their alibis as rapist Craig Reed was found dead, Belle was heard saying where she had been at the time of Craig's death.
She revealed how Tom had popped the question in a romantic proposal. But as Mandy rushed to congratulate her and look at the ring, Belle told how she had rejected him.
However, she failed to tell her family about what happened after she turned Tom down. Her boyfriend didn't take the news well, assuming it meant she didn't love him.
