Katcy Stephan Warner Bros. Motion Pictures Group has landed MRC’s feature film adaptation of “Wuthering Heights” from director Emerald Fennell.
Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi are set to star in the project, which sparked a fierce bidding war. MRC is the studio financing the film, LuckyChap is producing and Fennell wrote and will direct and produce the feature film adaptation based on the Emily Brontë novel.
Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute “Wuthering Heights” in theaters globally. “Wuthering Heights” marks the second collaboration between MRC, LuckyChap and Fennell after the breakout hit “Saltburn,” and the third collaboration with LuckyChap and Fennell (“Promising Young Woman”). “We are thrilled to partner with MRC, Emerald Fennell, and LuckyChap for this feature film adaptation of ‘Wuthering Heights,'” Warner Bros.
