Ellie Goulding has hinted she might ditch her feminine looks for a more masculine approach after playing with gender roles in a new music video.

The 34-year-old singer lends her vocals to a track called New Love from super-group Silk City – a band consisting of Major Lazer superstar Diplo and enduring music maker Mark Ronson.

A glitzy video for the track has been unleashed to accompany the disco infused dance track which sees Ellie playing multiple roles at a rather sparsely attended nightclub.

An exaggerated version of the real life Ellie appears on stage with a dangerously large blonde wig and dramatic, oversized lips, with the blonde parody singing away to the mild delight of the crowd.
