Edinburgh University Rugby club players 'spiked' at venues in capital

A Scottish university rugby club fears its players are being targeted in spiking attacks at venues across the capital.Edinburgh University Rugby Football Club (EURFC) said two male players are alleged to have been spiked, and one player claims to have been targeted in alleged attempted spiking in attacks on Wednesday and Thursday.

It comes as police investigate a number of reports of female revellers being spiked or injected in venues in Edinburgh, Dundee, Glasgow and Stirling.The rugby club has condemned the 'disgusting' actions of those responsible and reported the incidents to police.Ben Heber, club captain, told the Record: "I am relieved to say that everyone involved in the incidents is okay."We had another incident last night where
