Manchester United chiefs Ed Woodward and the Glazer family backed out of a deal for Jude Bellingham over his wage demands, according to reports.
The Red Devils were strongly linked with the Birmingham star this summer before being outbid by Borussia Dortmund. According to ESPN, United were reluctant to match the £56,000-a-week wages Dortmund offered the 17-year-old.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was said to be keen on snapping up the highly-rated midfielder but United’s owners and executive vice-chairman Woodward overruled his plans.
