EastEnders actor Michael Greco was overcome with emotion as he recalled his son's complicated birth last year, which saw the tot "fighting for his life".The newborn spent seven weeks in the hospital after undergoing life-saving surgery after he was born prematurely with a condition called Gastroschisis, a type of abdominal wall defect.
And appearing on ITV's Loose Women on Tuesday, the 51 year old admitted he got "emotional talking about" his baby son Gianluca – who is now happy and healthy.
Wiping away tears, the soap star also revealed he was also worried for his partner Helen at the time of their son's birth, as she suffers from the autoimmune disease Lupus.
The actor explained: "It can affect very badly. She got Lupus through her second child, so she's had it for twelve years now".
