Michael Greco, who is already a dad to son Gianluca, two, has announced that he is preparing for baby number two next summer in a sweet social media post. The actor, who is known for his role in EastEnders where he played Beppe di Marco between 1998 and 2002, shared the joyous news via Instagram with an ultrasound snap. He is in a relationship with Helen Harris, but didn't mention her in the snap, writing: "Absolutely over the moon to announce another Baby Greco is on the way.

EastEnder Michael Greco broke down in tears on Loose Women as he told how his baby was born with his intestines outside of his body.The actor's son Gianluca was born six weeks prematurely with gastroschisis, which is a type of abdominal wall defect, and underwent surgery not long after he was born.Speaking on the ITV show, Michael said it had been a tough time and that his mental health had been affected.The 51-year-old told host Ruth Langsford and co that the baby's birth defect was picked up on scans around six weeks before he was due.Doctors decided that the baby needed to be delivered because of fears he might be stillborn.Looking emotional, the star said: "When he was born she did not show the full baby."She showed his head and shoulders because underneath was this whole thing…"The only way I can describe it…," he went on, before breaking off and starting to cry.The panellists stepped in and started talking to give Michael a moment."I'm a crying wreck now," said the actor, who found fame as heartthrob Beppe di Marco in EastEnders.Michael was then joined on the show by his partner Helen and Gianluca, who is now seven months old, and revealed the baby is doing well.However, the star admitted the trauma had taken its toll on him."The last couple of years and especially the last seven months since Gianluca was born, it has affected my mental health more than anything," he told the Loose Women panel."I was always the one that people came to and said, can you help me out, I split up with this person, I have done this...

Holby City.However those hoping to see him reprise his iconic role as East End cad Beppe di Marco in EastEnders might be a little disappointed – as fans saw him swap the mean streets of Walford for a trip to A&E.Fans took to Twitter to share their glee in his television return, with one viewer gushing: “OMG one of my OG crushes from Eastenders is on Holby. Michael Greco where have you been?”Another added: “Hold on!! That’s Beppe di Marco!! He still looks good!”While a third commented: “Is that Michael Greco aka Beppe di Marco in Holby City?”Michael made his TV return as Anthony Carabello, a worried dad whose son Harry needed to undergo a tricky surgery.Holby City, which is due to be pulled off screens later this year, is filmed on the same Elstree site that’s home to EastEnders.And his appearance means it’s something of a Walford get together.Regular character Dr Nicky McKendrick, played by Belinda Owusu, aka EastEnders’ Libby Fox, appeared in the same episode.Dr Nicky plays the role of a frazzled nurse who failed to reassure Anthony of his son’s looming surgery.Michael’s appearance isn’t a one-off either, as his story carries on in the next episode.The 51-year-old found fame in 1998, when he arrived in Albert Square as Beppe di Marco, part of the new Italian family headed up by matriarch Rosa.He spent a decade living in Los Angeles where he has picked up roles in hit TV series Revenge and Western drama Hatfields & McCoys alongside Kevin Costner.This isn’t his first appearance in a British medical drama of late.
