EastEnders' Lacey Turner breaks down in tears as she hugs family at end of London Marathon
ok.co.ukEastEnders actress Lacey Turner broke down in tears after she completed the London Marathon in memory of her late, great co-star Barbara Windsor.
Sunday marked the day that nearly 50k people ran the 26.2 mile course through the UK’s capital, with some completing the marathon in honour of various charities and organisations.
BBC Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts was among the runners and broke a world record as she completed the course with a stoma bag. Actress Lacey Turner, who joined the BBC soap in 2004 as Stacey Slater, dominated the annual event as part of Babs' Army, a team dedicated to raising funds and awareness for Alzheimer's in memory of the late Dame Barbara Windsor.
Supporters of Lacey flanked the route and recorded the touching moment she ran up to her husband, Matt Kay, in her bright orange running gear.The actress was visibly emotional and had tears streaming down her face as she kissed Matt, who was carrying their daughter Dusty on his shoulders.
