Ed Sheeran broke down in tears during an emotional performance of his new album as he admitted he was ‘still not over’ Jamal Edwards’ death.
The 32 year old pop sensation was performing at an intimate show in London when he dedicated two songs to friend Jamal - who died aged 31 in February last year.
Jamal Edwards was a music entrepreneur, DJ and founder of SBTV - an online media platform aimed at discovering emerging artists in R&B and hip hop.
It started in 2006 and helped launch the careers of artists including Ed, Jessie J, Stormzy and Emeli Sandé. Jamal went on to become an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust, a charity set up by King Charles to help vulnerable young people get their lives on track.
