EastEnders fans are speculating that Angie Watts, played by Anita Dobson, might be making a comeback to Albert Square after 37 years.

Dobson is renowned for her role as Angie, the first landlady of The Queen Vic, who was known for her dramatic antics and manipulation of her husband Den.

She portrayed the emotionally exhausted and alcohol-dependent Angie from 1985 to 1988, becoming an enduring icon of the BBC soap.

In the show, Angie, with her distinctive big hair, was the beleaguered wife of Den Watts, played by Leslie Grantham, and the loving adoptive mother to Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
