EastEnders' Ian Burfield, who plays DCI Arthurs, is set to bring down murderer Gray in the latest plot twist. However, this isn't his first time donning a police uniform on Albert Square.The actor has previously played a copper twice on the BBC soap, contributing to some major storylines.
His debut in uniform was back in 1997 as D.I. Hamilton, where he investigated stolen cars and arrested Ricky Butcher for handling stolen goods.
In 2007, Ian returned as Detective Inspector Kelly, investigating the death of Pauline Fowler and arresting several key characters including Sonia Fowler, May Wright, and Phil Mitchell.
He also investigated Jay Brown's stabbing and informed Liz Turner about her son Owen's body being found in Albert Square. In 2018, Ian reprised his role as a copper, taking on his current character, DCI Peter Arthurs.
