East Kilbride Probus Club returns for a new season on Wednesday, October 4.The association of retired and semi-retired professional and business people come together for regular gatherings of those who, in retirement or semi-retirement, appreciate and value opportunities to meet others in similar circumstances and of a similar level of interest.The EK club meets every first and third Wednesday of the month at 2.30pm in Westwood Parish Church, East Kilbride.

At each meeting a speaker presents a talk on an interesting topic. All new members are welcome.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The next meeting on October 18 is entitled, 'The Buried Cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum in the bay of Naples'.Members will also enjoy two outings to places of interest on October 25 and November 22, with this session culminating in the club’s Christmas lunch.Starting next year in January 2024, members will hear about wartime exploits of women SOE operatives, the making of Devil's Porridge and ‘The Other Lady in his Life!’ The season ends on April 17, 2024.The current committee and members look forward to welcoming any new members throughout the season.
