Police in Strathaven are asking for help after a dog walker was subjected to a “vicious assault”.The serious and “unprovoked” attack happened in the early hours of April 16 and left the man requiring hospital treatment.The 40-year-old man was attacked just a short distance from the entrance to Floors Farm on the town’s Stonehouse Road.Specialist officers say the incident happened around 6.55am last Thursday and involved an “overweight” white male who made off in a black Range Rover.Sergeant Jamie Madden told the News: “This was a vicious and completely unprovoked attack on a dog walker.“The suspect is described as white, 5ft 5in, overweight and was wearing a light grey tracksuit top with hood and matching jogging bottoms.“He was observed
