Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson, giving him some cakes and a case of red wine. The Everton legend's trip to see the veteran Scot wasn't merely a social visit, though.

He popped by to pick Ferguson's brains about the intricacies of football management as he looks for his next opportunity in the game after leaving Goodison Park.Big Dunc had served on the backroom staff under a succession of managers at Everton but left in the summer to pursue managerial ambitions.
