Drama as car brought to sudden stop after driver's desperate efforts to lose police

Officers pursued the tiny white car from Manchester to Middleton yesterday (October 15), while a police helicopter followed events from above.
Greater Manchester Police says the car had been stolen from Waterloo Gardens, in Ashton-under-Lyne, at around 10.15am on Sunday.
Officers from GMP's Road Policing Unit later spotted the vehicle in Manchester city centre. They followed the car for 10 minutes as the driver continued trying to evade police.
