Man cut from car by fire crews after collision with bus

Emergency services raced to rescue a man trapped in his vehicle after a collision with a bus in the early hours of the morning.

A police scene was in place on Stretford Road in Hulme, over the Hulme Arch Bridge, just after midnight on Thursday morning (October 26).

Fire crews helped free the man from his vehicle before he was left in the care of paramedics. The nature of any injuries related to the incident is not yet known.

READ MORE: Man, 22, killed after 'disturbance' with hunt underway to find attackers READ MORE: CPS issues statement after coroner rules Yousef Makki was unlawfully killed A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At just after midnight this morning (Thursday October 26) two fire engines from Moss Side and Salford fire stations, along with the Technical Response Unit from Ashton fire station, attended a collision involving a car and a bus on Stretford Road, Hulme. “Firefighters rescued one man from the vehicle and transferred him into the care of colleagues from North West Ambulance Service before making the scene safe.
