Donald Trump Reaches Settlement in Defamation Suit Against ABC News, Details Revealed

Donald Trump and ABC News have come to terms regarding a defamation lawsuit. The 78-year-old president-elect sued the news outlet and their correspondent George Stephanopoulos for defamation over an interview that took place in March of this year.

In it, George alleged that Donald had been found “liable for rape” in a civil case with E.

Jean Carroll. He was actually only found liable for sexually abusing her in May 2023. On Saturday (December 14), it was revealed that the parties had come to a settlement, and details of that were revealed. It will be given to “a Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for plaintiff, as presidents of the United States of America have established in the past.” ABC and George will pay for Donald‘s attorney fees to the tune of $1 million.
