The X/Twitter account of Donald Trump Jr. was hacked on Wednesday, with a now deleted series of posts including one that announced his father’s death and another with sexually explicit messages.
The messages appeared on Trump’s account after 8 a.m. ET on Wednesday before they were removed. One of the messages read, “I’m sad to announce: My father Donald Trump has passed away.
I will be running for president in 2024.” Another talked of how North Korea was about “to get smoked.” A spokesperson for the Trump Organization confirmed that the account had been hacked.
But an aide to Trump Jr., Andrew Surabian, wrote on X, “This is obviously not true. Don’s account has been hacked.” Trump Jr., known for his provocative posts, has more than 10 million followers.
