A dog was viciously mauled to death by another dog in the street on Wednesday evening (November 29) as police continue to hunt the owner.
Officers were called to the scene of the incident on Monks Lane, in Breightmet, Bolton at around 6.45pm, to reports of a dog attacking another.
The dog being attacked died, with the offending dog contained to be seized by officers. Police are conducting enquiries to track down its owner.
No other injuries have been reported. "Police attended the scene; one dog is deceased, and the offending dog has been contained and will be seized.
