Inquest proceedings working out how a young mum from Bolton came to die at a music festival opened yesterday (December 11). Stephanie Thorpe, from Farnworth, died after attending the Restricted Forest event in Blackburn's Witton Park in June of this year.
The 32-year-old was taken to hospital from the event but was tragically pronounced dead. Following Stephanie's untimely passing, friends raised money to pay for her funeral and support her partner Carl and baby boy Alfie.
The fundraiser generated more than £17,000, reports LancsLive. After her death she was described by her sister Cherie as the "best mum ever". An inquest into Stephanie's death was opened yesterday (December 11) at Preston Coroner's Court.
