A dog owner was left heartbroken after eight of her puppies and six adult dogs were stolen by a criminal gang in the middle of the night.

Appearing on This Morning today, Justine Watts expressed her devastation over the situation and compared it to having her "children taken away".

She told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: "It's just devastating. You won't get over it - it will always have a lasting effect." Justine explained that she had vetted all of the homes that the puppies had been due to go to.
