Dancing on Ice partnership with Vanessa Bauer ahead of the show's return on Sunday night. Appearing on BBC Radio 2 this morning, the dancer, 45, spoke to Zoe Ball on her Breakfast Show when he admitted that his skating partner Vanessa doesn't always appreciate the "talk back" he gives her during training.Speaking to the BBC radio DJ, Brendan spoke about what it's like as a student instead of being the professional in the partnership.Zoe asked the star: "How weird is it for you to not be the one teaching, you're the one learning?""Difficult," Brendan admitted. He went on: "Difficult, but I love it, because it's lovely to have somebody else take the lead and give you their expertise."These guys are amazing and I know what it's like to be on the other side when you're trying to give somebody your everything and they're looking at you in a blank way going, 'I don't get it, this is not for me'," he added.Brendan is partnered with former DoI winner Vanessa, who won the 10th season of the show with actor Jake Quickenden.Speaking about the partnership, Brendan said: "I want to give Vanessa my absolute 100 per cent."He went on to admit that Vanessa doesn't always look happy when he "talks back" at her.Brendan explained: "She doesn't always like it when I ask questions about things, but she's embracing that as well because she's never had a partner, or so she tells me, that's really had any talk back."She says she likes it, I'm not so sure, her stare doesn't always tell me she likes it," he joked. He continued: "But we get on fantastically, there's a lot of respect there and that's the most important thing with any of these relationships like that."So it's one of those things you've got to immerse yourself in," he added.Brendan.
