Walt Disney Studios is developing a musical film based on the music of Lionel Richie. The new project is currently titled All Night Long will be in a live-action format and is being eyed for a theatrical release.
Variety revealed that Cavalry Media executives Dana Brunetti and Matt Del Piano will produce the film along with Richie himself and manager Bruce Eskowitz.
The script is also set to be written by Crazy Rich Asians screenwriter Pete Chiarelli. Richie is already working with Disney at ABC Studios on the current season of music talent show American Idol on which he is a judge.
