Dior, Louis Vuitton and Givenchy to manufacture free hand sanitiser

LVMH, the French luxury goods company behind huge brands including Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co, Celine, Moët & Chandon, are doing their part in the fight against Coronavirus.

The company have announced that they will use three of their perfume and cosmetics factories to manufacture much-in-demand hand sanitiser.

It will then be distributed for free to French health services as soon as this week. “I wish to thank LVMH for acting so quickly,” Paris hospitals chief, Martine Hirsch, said to AFP.

French public hospitals have been strained for supplies. Fear of Coronavirus infection has led to a shortage of sanitising gel both in hospitals and pharmacies - where customers have been limited to one small bottle per person.
