Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

A beloved husband and wife were tragically killed after they stepped into the path of an oncoming car whilst walking arm in arm, an inquest heard.

John Mann, 91, who known fondly by family as 'Jackie,' and his wife Joan, 89, died within two weeks of each other following the horror collision in Wigan on October 18 last year.

The couple had been on their way to their local church just yards away from their house on Swan Lane in Hindley Green when they both stepped into the road 'linking arms.' READ MORE:Police investigation into mental health unit amid alleged mistreatment of patients An inquest held at Bolton Coroner's Court heard that shortly after they did, Mr Mann was hit by a black BMW 1 series being driven by a woman in her early 20s named Susan Yates.

The court was told that the impact of the collision caused Mr Mann to involuntarily strike his wife - which led to them both being admitted to Salford Royal Hospital with catastrophic injuries.
