An elderly woman has been left with 'life-changing' injuries after being hit by a lorry in Bury. Emergency services rushed to the scene of the crash on Walmersley Road just after 2.15pm yesterday (Wednesday).
The woman - aged in her 80s - was taken to hospital. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed this morning that her injuries are 'life-changing'.

After the crash yesterday, Walmersley Road was cordoned off in both directions. It was shut between Limefield Brow and Lowes Road.
