Images from a crash on Rochdale Road involving two buses show passengers making a desperate escape from the stricken vehicles.
People can be seen on the upper and lower decks of the vehicles as horrified eyewitnesses look on. The incident happened on Rochdale Road at around 8.30 this morning (November 9), involving two yellow double decker Bee Network buses.
In pictures taken at the scene, shortly after the collision, one of the buses can be seen behind the other. Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service have told Manchester Evening News that 13 people have been rushed to hospital following the crash.
They added that fire crews had to extricate one passenger from the upper deck of one of the buses.
