Major Metrolink disruption across the network following points failure

There are severe delays across the Metrolink tram network due to a points failure. The Bee Network posting on X (formerly Twitter) said an earlier points failure at Cornbrook has resulted in 'delays across the network'.

The delays impacted the service from 3.53pm this afternoon and are set to continue until further notice, according to the Travel For Greater Manchester website. All stops are reported to be affected. The latest update says trams have resumed on the Rochdale line but with severe delays.
