Delays expected as work gets underway to resurface part of Friarton Bridge

The project will involve teams carrying out surfacing and localised deck concrete and waterproofing repairs on the southbound carriageway across the bridge.BEAR Scotland says the work will ensure the bridge continues to operate safely for road users.The works are planned to take place over five days using 24-hour working, with all work expected to be completed by 6.30am on Monday 15 February, subject to weather conditions.However, restrictions will be in place.On Tuesday, February 9, overnight lane closures on both the northbound and southbound carriageway will be in place between 7.30pm and 6.30am.On 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 10 until 6.30am on Monday, February 15, a contraflow system of traffic management will be in.
