Declan Rice has rejected a third contract offer from West Ham, understood to have been worth around £200,000-a-week. Had he signed fresh terms, Rice, 23, would have become the highest-paid player in the club's history.
But it seems no amount of money can convince the England international to pen a new deal at the London Stadium at the current time.
According to the Guardian, Rice has no desire to extend his contract in east London. Despite the impasse, Rice is not the sort of character who will allow his professionalism to dip on the pitch as the Hammers chase Europa League glory.
