Former Manchester United goalkeeping coach Eric Steele has warned David de Gea he fully expects Dean Henderson to be at the club to challenge the Spaniard for his No.1 shirt next season.
Henderson has spent this season on loan with Sheffield United, his second year with the Blades, and has been one of the most impressive goalkeepers in the Premier League as he sits joint-second in the clean sheets table.
The 23-year-old was expected to be included in England's European Championship squad before it was pushed back a year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Steele, who left United in 2013, believes Henderson will return to Old Trafford with his sights firmly focused on becoming the club's first-choice goalkeeper at the expense of De Gea .
