David Beckham has quit his fashion label Kent & Curwen after the brand suffered a reported £18 million loss over the past three years. The retired England footballer bought into the high-end fashion brand in 2015 and had just launched a collection inspired by the hit TV show Peaky Blinders last autumn.
However, Metro.co.uk understands that David, 45, left the brand last year after a portfolio of brands, including Kent & Curwen, was sold to Shandong Ruyi International for $285 million (£228 million).
Although the sale was intended to boost the brand, the company faced some issues prompting David to part ways. It’s said the father-of-four continues to support the British fashion industry and emerging talent in his role as British Fashion
