David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are currently at war with locals in the Cotswolds over their plans for a "monstrous and ugly" lake at their £6m estate.
Residents of the expensive area are furious with the pair's plans for the kidney-shaped giant lake at their Grade II-listed building in Great Tew.Many have argued that it is "out of keeping" within the posh area which is home to many of the country's millionaires and billionaires.Posh and Becks have put in a planning application to West Oxfordshire District Council which asks for permission for a large stretch of water, nearly 3000 m2.The water is requested to have a depth of four metres.Two residents have written letters to the council to beg them to reject the couple's plans.Sue Jones.
