Former Rangers chairman and major shareholder Dave King is close to agreeing a deal with the US consortium bidding to take over the Scottish Premiership club.
The South Africa-based businessman, who was chairman for five years between 2015 and 2020, reportedly rejected a £25million bid two years ago for almost 13 per cent of the club.
But King, who offered to make a sensation return to the Light Blues boardroom, is now open to selling. This comes after Record Sport’s exclusive that a group, led by Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe and his 49ers Enterprises, the business arm of the NFL giants San Francisco, are looking to invest in Rangers.
King owns around 12.96 per cent of the club through his New Oasis Asset Company and ready to a deal, reports the Scottish Express.
