Daniel Radcliffe has recalled how his drinking spiralled during his final days of filming Harry Potter to cope with the blockbuster franchise coming to an end. The 30-year-old actor shot to fame playing the iconic boy wizard in the Harry Potter movies from the age of 11 in 2000.
After eight successful movies, the franchise wrapped up in 2011 shortly after Daniel decided to give up alcohol and go sober.
Opening up about his struggles with drinking, the actor said on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: ‘I definitely think a lot of the drinking that happened towards the end of Potter, and for a little bit after it finished, it was panic and not knowing what to do next, and not being comfortable enough in who I was to remain sober.’ Daniel went
