Daniel Wroughton Craig (born 2 March 1968) is an English actor. After training at the National Youth Theatre and graduating from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991, Craig began his career on stage. He made his film debut in the drama The Power of One (1992) and attracted attention with appearances in the historical television war drama Sharpe's Eagle (1993), the family film A Kid in King Arthur's Court (1995), the television serial drama Our Friends in the North (1996), the biographical film Elizabeth (1998), the television film Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon (1998), the indie war film The Trench (1999), the drama film Some Voices (2000), the action film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001), the crime thriller film Road to Perdition (2002), the crime thriller film Layer Cake (2004), and the historical drama film Munich (2005).

supports HTML5 videoDaniel Craig has given us an insight into Queen Elizabeth’s cheeky sense of humour.The James Bond icon, 53, revealed the Queen poked fun at him during his last visit.Appearing on The Late Show, the actor spoke about her witty comment following their stunt at the London 2012 Olympic Games.Craig – who made his final appearance as 007 in 2021’s No Time To Die played the fictional spy in a sketch with the 95-year-old British monarch for the opening ceremony, and they built up a good relationship.Craig – who was recently awarded the Order of Saint Michael and Saint George in the New Years’ Honours List – told host Stephen Colbert: ‘[She is] very funny, wants to crack a joke, and crack a joke about me.‘We were having our photograph taken, and she just went, “Oh no, he’s the one that doesn’t smile”.’The Knives Out star admitted he loved ‘rolling around on the floor’ with Her Majesty’s famous pack of pampered corgis.He said: ‘I was rolling around on the floor with them most of the time.

I mean, they’re just there. I think they have their own footmen. They’re very friendly.’Meanwhile, the film star also gushed about his last James Bond movie, admitting it was ‘a massive success’ despite several delays due to Covid.He added that ‘the whole thing is surreal in so many ways,’ and his thought process heading into the release was, ‘Well, it doesn’t really matteranymore, listen the world’s in a terrible state.’‘Eventually it actually got it out into the cinemas and people actually got to see it and cinemas opened again, and so all of that was just a massive success.’Recently, Craig’s co-star Javier Bardem – who played villain Raoul Silva in Skyfall – reminisced about the time he popped out of a cake and serenaded.
