Dancing on Ice judge Christopher Dean has revealed that contestant Stef Reid fell on the rink just hours before her debut on the ITV show. The Paralympian athlete was part of the second group of contestants to perform their first routines on Sunday night. But hours before, it's been revealed that she took a tumblr during rehearsals when her pro partner Andy Buchanan was lifting her.A clip showed Andy performing a lift with Stef in the air, but he slipped on the ice which caused her to crash to the hard rink below.Andy attempted to flip Stef over but slipped, with Stef narrowly missing smashing her head on the icy ground at their feet. The duo immediately got back up onto their skates with Andy looking concerned at his celebrity partner.Christopher spoke of the fall during the judging section after the duo's routine, and he commended them for carrying on – and smashing the lift as planned. He said that Stef, who lost her foot in a horror accident in her teens, was "inspiring" for going out and completing the routine despite falling just hours before. He said: "Particularly inspiring to get on and do that performance tonight, because earlier on today in rehearsal you took a massive fall in a lift."You came down really heavy as we can see, and you just got back up, you ran through it tonight, you came back on and delivered that performance.

So kudos to that, well done."Stef scored a total of 24 for her debut performance, with each from Christopher and his fellow judges Jordan Banjo, Oti Mabuse and Jayne Torvill. However it appears the studio audience were unhappy with the scores as they could be heard booing the judges.Viewers at home disagreed, with many pointing out a 24 is a good strong start for someone's first.
