Dancing on Ice star Connor Ball has taken to social media to share an update following his horror injury. The Vamps band member, 25, and his partner Alexandra Shauman were due to open Sunday's live show with their Charleston-inspired routine. However, things didn't go to plan and instead the couple performed later on in the ITV programme due to an injury just before the show went live.Connor's accident wasn't mentioned until after they performed and the pop star was seen having to compress an injury on his chin.Shortly after the show, Connor uploaded a video of himself to Instagram showing his nasty-looking injury. He said: "Yo, what's up everyone?""As you can see, bit of an eventful evening today.

Just before we were meant to go on the show tonight, we were meant to open the show, I had a bit of a fall and hit my face off the ice."Luckily it's been stitched up now.

I had five stitches."He captioned his post: "Well, that was an interesting night… smashed my face off the ice then scored our highest score so far of the show!"But honestly thank you so much to everyone that jumped in to help so quickly, everyone on the show is bloody awesome and I’m lucky to be surrounded by great people."Connor added: "Ps.

the last photo is the shirt i SHOULD’VE worn before it got covered in blood."The musician was left clutching a tissue to the injury live on-air as blood leaked onto his collar after the cut reopened during his routine.Explaining what had happened, guest host Stephen Mulhern said: "I don’t know if you can see this but Dancing On Ice is completely live and Connor was meant to open the entire show, but had an accident before the show."He had stitches before the show so he couldn’t go on first and they have now opened up."Connor.
