McGregor returns to action for the first time in 12 months on January 23, when he faces off against Dustin Poirier in the headline event of UFC 257.The Notorious knocked out Poirier in 2014 and is looking for another win to put himself firmly back in the hunt for the lightweight belt.The bout will be McGregor’s first since beating Donald Cerrone in the first round at the start of January 2020.Since then, he has spent a year on the sidelines, even announcing a retirement in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.
