Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer helped him find his form, even if it did put the Welsh winger out of his comfort zone.United signed James from Swansea in 2019 and he impressed at first, scoring on his Premier League debut against Chelsea.Though the 23-year-old struggled in the second half of that campaign and found life tough during the early stages of the current season.Though he has looked back to his best in recent months, and believes it is due to a conversation he had with Solskjaer at the end of 2020.James has explained that he spoke to the boss before United took on Istanbul Besaksehir in the Champions League in November, and it proved the catalyst to his form improving.“Sometimes it’s hard to go to the gaffer,” James.
