Youngster Dan Gore has plans to force his way into Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag's thoughts after an impressive second half performance against Lyon at Murrayfield Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The midfielder, who won the Denzil Haroun Young Player of the Year award last season, stepped off the bench at half-time and provided an excellent assist for Donny van de Beek to score the only goal of the game.
Gore kept the ball alive at the byline and sent over a delicious cross that Van de Beek converted with a brilliant volley. As well as providing a match-winning assist, the youngster, who will celebrate his 19th birthday in September, produced a classy performance in the engine room, flanked by both Van de Beek and Fred.
He controlled possession well, produced a collection of passes and showed what he is capable of defensively. It was his second appearance of pre-season after stepping off the bench in the 2-0 win over Leeds United in Oslo last week.
