Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

Damon Weaver was an aspiring journalist who became the youngest person to interview a sitting president when he interviewed President Barack Obama at age 11.Weaver was a reporter for the TV newscast at his elementary school, Florida’s Kathryn E.

Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary School, when he had his opportunity to interview the president. He had previously had a chance to ask a question of Vice President Joe Biden at a 2008 campaign event, and after he sent in several requests to interview the president, he got his chance in 2009.
