variety.comSteven J. Horowitz Senior Music Writer The Roots are bringing back the annual Roots Picnic to Philadelphia, PA with a lineup that includes D’Angelo, Lenny Kravitz, Meek Mill, GloRilla, Latto and more.
The event, scheduled to take place at Philly’s The Mann in Fairmount Park on May 31 and June 1, will see D’Angelo making his grand return to the stage alongside the Roots.
The last time the R&B singer publicly performed was during the Netflix is a Joke Comedy Festival at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl in 2022.
Additional performers for the Roots Picnic 2025 include Tems, Jeezy, Kaytranada, Pusha T, 2 Chainz, Musiq Soulchild, Kur, Elmiene, Backyard Band featuring Cee Lo Green, Jagged Edge, CeCe Peniston, Crystal Waters, Lay Banks and Laila!
