Emergency services descended on a busy Stockport junction after a crash involving a bicycle and a car. Police closed off the junction of Ladybridge Road and Councillor Lane, in Cheadle Hulme, before 7pm last night (September 3).
Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to the scene at around 6.45pm. The cyclist was taken to hospital for a scan, GMP says.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. Eyewitnesses reported seeing at least six police vehicles in attendance at the scene, along with two ambulances. A spokesperson for GMP said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and bicycle yesterday (Sunday 3 September 2023) at around 6.45pm. "The male cyclist did not suffer life-threatening or life-changing injuries, but was taken to hospital for an x-ray."
